Avelino Rodríguez

The LIFT

Currently serving as the President of the Mexican Film Industry Chamber CANACINE, Avelino's career spans over three decades in film and advertising production. 

In 2005, he founded The Lift in Mexico, which quickly became one of the top production services companies in the world. Under his leadership, The Lift has been awarded or contributed to awarded work worldwide, and has been a major agent of change and promoter of Mexico as a film and commercials destination. 

Before founding The Lift, Avelino held key positions such as In Lot Producer, Head of Production, and Chief Operating Officer for many of Mexico's leading production companies at the time. He produced both AAA Festival Award Winning Movies and Box Office hits that remained in the Mexican top 10 for decades. Avelino's career started in 1991 as a PA for the CCC film school, which he later joined in 1992 as its first production student. 

Throughout his career, Avelino has worked on Feature Films, TV Series, Original Content, Art Films, Documentaries, and TV Commercials. His love for storytelling and fascination with the production craft have defined his career throughout.
