Jim Pharo currently serves as General Counsel to mcgarrybowen and Associate General Counsel, Creative to Dentsu International.  Previously, he had a successful solo practice providing legal and business affairs services to a variety of traditional and digital agencies.  From 1996-2002, he served as SVP – Legal at Y&R before becoming General Manager of The Lord Group, a full-service agency.  Prior to his Y&R days, Jim was the Global Advertising Counsel for the American Express Company.  He began his legal career at Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton and is a 1983 magna cum laude graduate of the Cardozo School of Law.
