Samantha Rothaus is a partner in the Advertising and Marketing practice group at Davis+Gilbert LLP. In her wide-ranging practice, she regularly works with advertising agencies and brands in negotiating talent and influencer endorsement deals and production agreements, as well as related content licenses and releases, for both traditional advertising and branded content. She also advises clients on developing and executing consumer promotions and media campaigns in compliance with federal law and regulations, and counsels clients seeking to explore new technologies such as Web3 and generative artificial intelligence. In addition to her work in the advertising space, Samantha also routinely handles entertainment production matters in connection with film and television projects, including non-scripted, documentary, and animation projects. Prior to joining Davis+Gilbert, Samantha worked as a trademark and copyright litigator, focusing on brand protection and anti-counterfeiting on behalf of luxury brands and consumer products companies. She received her B.A. in international relations from Boston University, and her J.D. with a concentration in intellectual property law from Boston University School of Law. She also holds an LL.M. degree in entertainment and media law from UCLA School of Law. Samantha has been recognized as a “Rising Star” in Media and Advertising law from 2016-2022 by New York Metro Super Lawyers, and has been included on Best Lawyers “Ones to Watch” list for Intellectual Property Law from 2021-2023.
