Andrew Stern is the Founder and CEO of Be Electric Studios, a leading NYC-based production hub launched in 2014. Under his leadership, Be Electric has grown into one of the most innovative and sustainable studios in the region, powered by 100% renewable energy and planting five trees for every shoot or rental. The studio offers Level 2 Qualified soundstages, a full-service equipment rental house, and cutting-edge virtual production capabilities, with two state-of-the-art LED volumes supporting in-camera VFX, XR workflows, for high-end commercial and narrative work.
Andrew also serves as Co-President of the Production Initiatives Association (PIA), a nonprofit advocacy group working to strengthen New York’s production industry. In 2023, PIA played a pivotal role in expanding the state’s film tax credit program. Building on that success, Andrew helped lead a major industry victory in 2025, securing a long-term extension of the program through 2036 and winning critical enhancements—including a dedicated fund for independent productions and a multi-project bonus incentive—that will drive production, job creation, and economic growth for years to come.
