Director

Will Speck is one half of the acclaimed directing duo Speck and Gordon. He met his creative partner, Josh Gordon, at NYU Film School, where they quickly bonded over a shared passion for cinema. Their early short film, co-written and starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, earned them an Academy Award nomination. Stand-out commercial work for brands such as Apple, META, and Amazon, and World’s Biggest Asshole, their PSA for Donate Life which won ten Cannes Lions, have solidified their reputation for blending sharp humor with emotional resonance.

Speck and Gordon have brought their signature blend of dry wit and outrageous comedy to the big screen with titles including Blades of Glory, The Switch, Office Christmas Party, and Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile. Expanding into television, they co-created and wrote the animated Marvel series Hit Monkey, which ran for two seasons on Hulu.

They are currently attached to direct several high-profile projects: The Wedding People, written by Nicole Holofcener for TriStar; The Chaperone, a Netflix film starring Jason Bateman and written by Jimmy Warden; and a scripted adaptation of The Oregon Trail, penned by the Lucas Brothers with original music by Pasek & Paul (The Greatest Showman, La La Land) and in development at Apple.
