Sergio Fuentes is Director of Creative Industries at Mexico's Secretaría de Economía, where he leads national strategies to strengthen the creative economy, from attracting audiovisual investment and building international partnerships to developing incentive mechanisms. He oversaw Mercado Creativo Digital, a national platform that connects creative professionals and businesses. His career spans public policy, international cooperation and economic development across film and television, digital media, design, gaming and the cultural industries. He was a speaker at AICP Week 2026 in New York and holds a degree in International Relations from Universidad Iberoamericana.
