Born in Lake Como, Italy, Federico Tamburini is an Italian commercial cinematographer based between New York and Los Angeles. He studied filmmaking at the New York Film Academy and the Prague Film School. His work spans commercials, long-form documentary, and fiction, with a strong focus on celebrity-driven projects and the sports genre.
His visual style is distinguished by a polished, high-end aesthetic combined with a constant focus on emerging techniques and technologies. His commercial work has received recognition from organizations including the Clio Awards, Webby Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, and Telly Awards.
Federico is also known for his extensive experience in virtual production, having been an early adopter of XR technologies on a commercial level since 2021. Among many of the world’s leading brands, he has worked on virtual production projects for companies including Apple, Disney, Electronic Arts, DC Comics, and Marvel.
