Kara Meyer is Managing Director at + POOL, where she oversees the development of the world’s first water-filtering, floating swimming pool. She established the 501c3 Friends of + POOL to develop the project and established its growing free public and educational programs. Through her work at + POOL, she launched a grassroots advocacy effort to inspire new ways of thinking about access to our waterways, ignited regulatory change across NYS and NYC that changed public access rules, and secured $26M in capital funding to develop a pilot pool to demonstrate this new innovation in NYC.
