Nearly 100 people from across New York’s production community gathered at Barbizon Lighting Company on Wednesday October 14th for the latest AICP PERG Oktoberfest, enjoying an unexpectedly warm October evening. The annual event brought together PERG members with AICP General and Associate Members from across the region.
The gathering celebrated the organizations’ longstanding partnership and close working relationship with German food, cold beverages and conversation. Barbizon’s spacious showroom and quieter rooftop area gave guests room to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones.
Addressing the crowd, PERG Manager Mark Wofford thanked the PERG Annual Sponsors and Event Sponsors, as well as AICP, for making the evening possible. He also recognized former PERG Manager Harry Box for 16 years of leadership before introducing AICP CEO Matt Miller. Miller reflected on the two organizations’ long relationship and emphasized the importance of PERG member companies to AICP members. He noted the success of the AICP PERG Terms and Conditions and encouraged guests to support the inclusion of commercials in the proposed Federal Tax Incentives for Production.

Together, the evening’s conversations and remarks underscored the value of the longstanding AICP-PERG relationship and the production community’s shared interests.
