AICP Named Insured Status/Coverage Confirmation Form
By: Denise Gilmartin, VP, Business Affairs, AICP
On October 9, 2025, AICP held a virtual town hall on the lack of access to wrap-up insurance policies and the importance of confirming that appropriate coverage is in place. Scott Taylor, President of Taylor & Taylor Insurance, gave a presentation addressing issues such as named insured status; coverage sufficient to account for job-related costs incurred by the agency, advertiser, production company, foreign production service company and post-production companies; employee injury exclusions in umbrella/excess liability policies; primary and noncontributory language; and foreign production insurance requirements. The PowerPoint presentation from the meeting can be found here.
To address the lack of transparency in wrap-up policy language and to confirm that all parties -including the advertiser and agency - are adequately covered, AICP created the Named Insured Status/Coverage Confirmation form. Click here for the form and bulletin.
This form should be used in the bidding phase of production and completed by the wrap-up insurance broker.
