Mix it Up – The Annual Emerging Talent Mixer

Each year, the AICP East Board hosts an Emerging Talent Mixer in New York City. Junior creatives and producers are often not the focus of industry events, so we wanted to create one specifically tailored to them.

This mixer is at Heard City in New York on Wednesday, September 10th.  This event is geared for up-and-coming AICP member company staffers, but we encourage executives and artists to attend as well.  Those with deeper career experience can share their knowledge with those just starting out. 

The event will feature food, drinks, and raffle prizes.  We will also have a sign-up sheet where you can share your information with other attendees to make networking easier.

Entry is complimentary but guests must be employed at an AICP member company.

Food Bank of New York City: Volunteer Opportunities

The AICP East Board has two upcoming volunteer opportunities approaching.

On Saturday, September 13th, we will head up to the Food Bank of New York distribution warehouse in the Bronx to help package and organize food. This is the main distribution center for all providers that the food bank supplies. There will be two shifts available for this event: 10am-12:30pm and 1:30pm-3:00pm. You may join us for a single shift or both. RSVP here if you would like to volunteer.

On Monday, September 15th we will be helping prepare and serve dinner at the Food Bank for New York City's Community Pantry in Harlem. This pantry is a place for New Yorkers without access to food to come get a hot meal and socialize. The shift will run from 3:30pm to 6:30pm. RSVP here if you would like to volunteer.

The Food Bank for New York City has been helping feed New Yorkers since 1983. With a network of around 1,200 food providers, they can be found in every corner of all five boroughs. The approximately 8,000 yearly volunteers that serve the food bank are integral to making sure their fellow New Yorkers in need have food on their plates.
