Local 111 PA Scale Rate Adjustment

In October, the AICP and the IATSE concluded negotiations for the inaugural Production Workers’ Agreement (“PWA”). As previously announced, the terms and conditions of the PWA went into effect on November 29, 2025.
Upon review of the Agreement, it was determined that the negotiated $20-per-hour scale rate for Production Assistants (“PAs”) does not meet the minimum compensation threshold required by the State of California to obtain a deferral from state-mandated labor standards under Wage Order 12. As a result, some of our collectively bargained work terms and conditions in the PWA could not be applied in lieu of the state requirements.
Therefore, to ensure Production Companies and Payroll Providers can rely on and implement the full terms and conditions of the PWA for employees working in California, the AICP and IATSE have agreed to increase the PA scale rate to $22 per hour as of December 8, 2025.
Since this increase exceeds the previously negotiated rate over the three-year life of the Agreement, there are now no further scheduled increases to the PA scale rate, so it will remain at $22 per hour through September 30, 2028.
Note, however, that should California increase the state minimum wage during that time, then the PA scale rate will be adjusted accordingly to maintain the deferral under Wage Order 12 to the PWA.
