Co-Founder/CEO
Kerstin Emhoff is the Co-Founder and CEO of PRETTYBIRD, a hybrid production company that creates cutting-edge work that transcends boundaries and lives at the crossroads of branded entertainment, music, sports, technology, film, and television. Recognized for her successful and enduring relationships with top agencies, clients, artists, and managers, Emhoff has built PRETTYBIRD into one of the world’s most prestigious production companies in branded storytelling. PRETTYBIRD’s accolades include multiple wins at Cannes Lions, D&AD, Clios, MTV’s Video of the Year, Grammy and Emmy awards, and being named Ad Age’s Production Company of year – twice – in 2015 and 2021.
Building on PRETTYBIRD’s reputation for nurturing diverse talent in brand and music content, Emhoff co-founded Ventureland, a creative studio and idea accelerator that develops entertainment properties, advertising campaigns, and original IP alongside filmmakers, studios, and brands. As the CEO of Ventureland, Emhoff continues to build the studio both in the US and Europe with an eye to scale globally. Her focus on premium production capabilities as well as developing strong relationships with partners across financial, creative, and distribution have helped Ventureland quickly grow into a recognizable name. Previous titles include Academy Award-nominated Bobi Wine: The People’s President, Sports Emmy-winning The Deepest Breath, and BAFTA-nominated The Rescue.
In addition to her award-winning production work, Emhoff is also committed to diversifying the industry on a global scale through Pipelines, an app designed to address and combat the disconnect between underrepresented talent and the entertainment, creative, and tech industries in a meaningful and effective way. Recognizing her commitment, Emhoff, together with PRETTYBIRD President Ali Brown, was named a finalist for Creativity’s Diversity & Inclusion Champions of the Year for 2021.
